Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Out of humble beginnings, Habitat for Humanity emerged in 1976 with a belief that all people have a right to safe, decent housing. Habitat's view is that you cannot address inequity - racial or economic - without affordable housing that enables families to stabilize, grow roots and wealth, and pursue self-improvement.
2023 was the 9th year that St. Mary of the Falls has supported the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity Faith Build.
Parishioners generously supported the effort through prayers, donations of funds, and volunteering for 3 workdays at the
build site. The response of volunteers was overwhelming and exceeded the volunteer slots available to St.
Mary of the Falls! Please see the photo gallery below.
I continue to be in contact with Habitat for the 2023 Faith Build seeking opportunities for more volunteer workdays.

Thursday, June 22nd - While waiting for the W128 Street utility updates on the 2023 Faith Build House, our team traveled to a new Habitat home at 10709 Shale Avenue in the Buckeye Neighborhood. We painted at least 1 coat of paint on every 1st floor wall and ceiling.
Saturday, July 29th - Stick Building 101 at the W128 worksite for the new Faith Build House. The work site for all 5 houses is being prepared and the walls will go up quickly once the cement and utilities are installed.
THANK YOU St. Mary of the Falls for all of the prayers, financial donations, and labor hours that you so generously gave for the Habitat Faith Build 2022.
With the Faith Build 2022 House completed in October, SMOF volunteers pivoted to work on the Habitat ReStore Grand Re-Opening in Amherst. Thank you to all of our volunteers for your hard work!
